Emanate
縈迴
Organized by AIDS Concern, supported by Gilead Sciences with Wyndham Social as Community Partner, Emanate reimagines community through fragrance. Inspired by perfumery’s layered top, heart and base notes, the exhibition crafts a multisensory experience that centers the stories of people living with HIV (PLHIV), alongside doctors, counsellors and carers, inviting intimacy, care, and memory without stigma.
Pebble Ripples
Gradient red strings, pebbles, stainless steel frame and wooden base
approx. 280cm x 170cm
Pebble Ripples is an interactive installation that invites the public to reflect on the power of words. Visitors are encouraged to write kind notes or affirmations on pebbles, with each one representing the weight of their thoughts. As these pebbles are hung on strings, they create a visual flow that symbolizes the connection of how our words can ripple outwards, fostering kindness and unity in the community. This experience encourages participants to pause and reflect on their thoughts and how it can influence or inspire others.
This co-creation also emphasizes on the importance of compassion and inclusivity among all participants, including people living with HIV (PLHIV), their carers, healthcare professionals, and the general public. By fostering an alliance, we can come together to combat HIV stigma, promote health, and strengthen connections within the community. This collaborative approach highlights the shared responsibility we all have in creating a supportive environment for everyone affected by HIV.
