Stepping Stones Won't Break My Bones is an interactive installation that invites viewers to walk intentionally, while navigating a space of unfixed and textured pathways. With each footstep, themes of fear, pressure, resilience, and healing may emerge as participants create their own routes. This experience reinterprets the metaphor “walking on eggshells” and transforming it to walking with eggshells, from an expression of fear into an embrace of challenges that nurture personal growth.

Participants are invited to leave their eggshells within the space, allowing the artwork to evolve over time, gradually accumulating symbols of shared anxieties and fears. Whether visitors choose to step on paths that induce greater pressure to release their burdens, or choose to avoid them, visitors can reflect on their journey and gradually build their resilience with each step.

This installation highlights the importance of finding comfort in discomfort and hopes to create a healing space for personal and interpersonal introspection, vulnerability, and growth.

Crack Me depicts cracked eggshells with an exposed egg yolk. It is intricately sewn with the hair the artist collected from herself eight years ago. This period of inner struggle and self-discovery deeply influenced the artist’s journey. By sewing this hair now, she nurtures her past self and continues to embrace her personal growth with compassion.

The cracked eggshells symbolizes transformation and new beginnings, reflecting the artist’s openness to change. The act of repairing the eggshells with her hair highlights a deeper connection to vulnerability and celebrates the resilience that comes through adversity. This piece serves as an invitation for viewers to reflect on their own journeys of healing, self-acceptance, and the beauty found within our imperfections.
